This Privacy Policy describes how FACEIT Room Stats ("Extension", "we", "our") handles information when you use the Chrome extension and this website.
1. Scope
This policy applies to:
- FACEIT Room Stats Chrome extension;
- the website published for FACEIT Room Stats, including this policy page.
Service limitation (de jure): The Extension is technically and legally intended to operate exclusively within FACEIT matchroom interfaces on the `faceit.com` domain, including URLs that match the FACEIT CS2 room pattern. The Extension is not designed, licensed, or represented to provide functionality on any third-party website, and it does not perform its core analytics features outside FACEIT pages.
2. What data we process
The Extension processes limited data strictly to provide matchroom statistics in FACEIT CS2 rooms.
- Website content data (faceit.com): matchroom and player statistics available through FACEIT pages and APIs.
- User settings: preferences such as nickname, stats windows, enabled maps, and UI scale stored in Chrome storage sync.
3. What data we do not collect
- We do not require account registration.
- We do not collect passwords, payment details, or government identifiers.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not run advertising trackers in the Extension.
4. Purpose of processing
Data is processed only to:
- render ADR/KD and map analytics in FACEIT CS2 rooms;
- remember your extension preferences across browser sessions and devices (if Chrome sync is enabled).
5. Storage and retention
- Local/Sync storage: settings are stored in Chrome storage (`chrome.storage.sync`).
- No dedicated backend database: we do not maintain a server-side user profile database for this Extension.
- Retention: settings remain until you change/reset them or uninstall the Extension.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent user data. We do not share data with third-party advertisers. Data transfer is limited to technical requests required for extension functionality on FACEIT domains.
7. Permissions used
- storage: to save extension settings.
- host permissions (`https://www.faceit.com/*`): to read room context and fetch stats needed for the overlay.
For avoidance of doubt, no host permissions are requested for unrelated domains, and no operational use-case is provided for websites other than FACEIT.
8. Security
We apply a minimal-permissions approach and limit processing to functional needs. However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
9. Children
The Extension does not collect personal data from users, including children. As a result, we do not knowingly collect, store, or monetize personal data of children under 13. The Extension is intended for FACEIT matchroom analytics only.
10. International users
If you access FACEIT services from outside your country, network requests may involve infrastructure in multiple regions.
11. Policy changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when required by legal, product, or compliance changes. The updated date at the top will indicate the latest revision.
